Davis, retired from the United States Army after 21 years of active service, which included four deployments into combat zonesâ twice to Iraq and twice to Afghanistan, as well as, serving as a U.S. advisor to the Second Republic of Korea Army. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor at the Battle of 73 Easting during the First Gulf War in 1991 and was awarded a second Bronze Star Medal for service in Afghanistan in 2011.
