House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-California) was mobbed on Thursday in Miami by angry anti-Castro, Cuban-Americans.

Watch the video below (language warning):

Benny Johnson at The Daily Caller reported on Friday:

In the video, Pelosi can be seen entering the restaurant and getting rushed by a mob of protesters. The protesters held anti-communist signs and yelled, “Look at Nancy Pelosi right here – f***ing communist. Get the f**k out of here. F**k you and your f**king Democrats.”

The bewildered Pelosi looked at the protesters before ducking into a doorway with security. The protesters chanted, “Communism sucks” at the closed door.

Pelosi was in Miami campaigning for Donna Shalala, the Democratic congressional candidate running in Florida’s 27th Congressional District.

Pelosi and Shalala made the mistake of scheduling a campaign event with someone who praised Fidel Castro – Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-California). Politico reports:

In a district filled with Castro-hating Cuban-Americans and Venezuelan exiles, Shalala’s campaign committed an egregious gaffe — and set off a round of Democratic finger-pointing — by posting an announcement that she would hold a campaign event Wednesday with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Californian, Rep. Barbara Lee.
In 2016, Lee had said Castro’s death should be mourned.

Lee’s visit was ultimately canceled, but not before Shalala was savaged in a debate by her Republican opponent. Shalala and Pelosi were also protested by Republicans, some of whom pounded on the door outside and shouted “go back to Cuba!” “commie!” and “witches!”

Having lived in Miami before I can tell you that anti-Castro sentiment runs deep so this was an incredibly stupid move.

Congresswoman Maxine Watters (D-CA) calling for supporters to harass Trump administration officials. U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-New Jersey) told activists to get in the face of members of Congress. Clinton rejects civility at least until her party controls either the House or the Senate or both. Former Attorney General Eric Holder said during a rally in Georgia, “when they go law, we kick them.”

We’ve already seen Secretary of Homeland Security Kristjen Neilsen chased from a restaurant, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) and his wife Heidi also driven from a restaurant, and U.S. Senator Rand Paul was mobbed at the airport. Republican Senators were doxed by a former Democratic congressional staffer. Two Republican state legislative candidates in Minnesota were assaulted

It’s not surprising that we are starting to see this on the other side, and, unfortunately, President Trump’s recent comments were far from helpful.

I’ll do something the left has not done enough, call out my own side.

A mob is a mob is a mob. No candidate or elected official should be treated this way. This kind of behavior needs to stop before it escalates further.
