On Monday, Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of State Representative Ashley Hinson, R-Marion, for U.S. House of Representatives in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District.

“We are proud to endorse Ashley Hinson to represent Iowa’s pro-life values in Congress,” said former U.S. Rep. Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Ashley is a passionate advocate for families and children, and her strong pro-life voting record in the state legislature gives us confidence that she will stand up for life in Washington. In addition to supporting legislation to protect unborn children when their heartbeat can be detected, Ashley backed efforts to stop taxpayer funding of abortion businesses like Planned Parenthood and end cruel late-term abortions more than halfway through pregnancy.”

Hinson is the first woman to represent Iowa House District 67 in the Iowa House of Representatives. A former award-winning news reporter in Cedar Rapids, Hinson has been in tune to the lives of Iowa families for over a decade. She is dedicated to providing Iowans with opportunities and resources to choose life. Ashley resides in Marion with her husband Matt and their two boys.

SBA List is a network of more than 787,000 pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
