I wanted to bring back our weekly post on Sundays that features a sermon I think is edifying and challenging for our readers. These will come from a variety of sources both local and national. This week I wanted to highlight a sermon preached by Dr. Peter Cha on July 21, 2019, at Cottage Grove Church in Des Moines, Iowa.

Dr. Cha is a professor of Church, Culture and Society at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Ill. He was a guest preacher for the second sermon in a sermon series on Justice. Yes, “justice” is a loaded word in our culture, especially as it pertains to politics. I appreciated that Dr. Cha addressed that and affirmed he is addressing biblical justice based in who God is, not “social justice” as a political ideology from the left.

He preached from Isaiah 58, and I hope that you are challenged by his message.
