State Rep. Jacob Bossman

DES MOINES, Iowa – This afternoon, Speaker-Select Pat Grassley, R-New Hartford, announced State Rep. Jacob Bossman, R-Sioux City, as Chairman of the House Transportation, Infrastructure, and Capitals Appropriations Subcommittee, which includes the Rebuild Iowa Infrastructure Fund (RIIF) and Transportation budgets. Bossman replaces State Rep. Gary Mohr, R-Bettendorf,, who was recently announced as the new Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee.

Bossman, who was first elected in a 2018 special election, most recently served as Vice Chairman of the House Ways & Means and Administration and Rules Committees.

“Representative Bossman is a thoughtful leader who understands the importance of strong infrastructure in our state. He is a champion for Iowa’s taxpayers who will ensure that the hard-earned dollars that they send to state government are invested in a responsible way,” said Grassley. “I know he will be an asset as Chairman to the budget subcommittee as well as to the entire House Republican caucus.”
