VAN METER, Iowa – David Young, Republican candidate for Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District, on Monday announced the endorsement of Iowa’s Lieutenant Governor Adam Gregg.

“David Young is a hardworking Iowa leader, who never forgets the people he represents,” said Gregg. “I’m proud to support him, and will work hard to send him back to Washington to represent us.”

“Lt. Governor Gregg is a strong leader with a servant’s heart,” said Young. “I am honored to receive his confidence and trust with this endorsement as I run hard to win this Third Congressional District seat.”

Young was elected to serve Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2014 and reelected in 2016. Prior to his service in Congress, Young served Iowans as U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley’s Chief of Staff from 2006-2013. A graduate of Johnston High School and Drake University, Young is a seventh generation Iowan and resides in Van Meter.
