MARION, Iowa – State Rep. Ashley Hinson, Republican candidate for Congress in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District, announced her campaign’s county chairs on Tuesday. The county chairs play an essential leadership role as Hinson for Congress organizes and mobilizes volunteers across the First District.

Hinson for Congress has previously announced legislative endorsements and a grassroots organization of more than 450 volunteers over the past month. Hinson’s campaign states they now have more than 500 volunteers engaged in the campaign resulting in more than 60,000 volunteer phone calls.

“Our campaign’s biggest strength is the people who actively support it,” said Hinson. “We continue to build a massive grassroots effort to spread our message of sending Iowa commonsense to Washington in every town and county in the 1st District. I will continue to work every day to recruit new volunteers and coalition members to our team from every walk of life.”

“Ashley Hinson is an Iowan. She has spent more than a decade working, living and raising her family in Linn County. From her time on KCRG, to her service as a state representative, she has been deeply committed to doing everything she can to help our community. I’m proud to be on Team Hinson and working with Ashley to send a servant leader to Washington on our behalf,” Kathy Pearson, Linn County Chair, said.

“Ashley understands the importance of rural Iowa and cares deeply about our farmers. She is everywhere and most importantly, she listens. I’m proud to have been a day one supporter and am going to continue doing everything I can to deliver her a big victory in Clayton County.” Doug Reimer, Clayton County Chair, stated.

“As a small business owner and farmer, I appreciate Ashley’s no nonsense appeal and how she works with all of her constituents in her District and doesn’t just follow the party line. She takes time to listen, ask questions, and provide actions for those she represents. She is a public servant in the truest sense. It’s why I have decided to support her in her bid to be the representative for all of Iowa’s 1st District.” Monica McHugh, Jackson County Chair, added.
