Dave Funk is running for Polk County Supervisor in District 3 against incumbent Tom Hockensmith.  District 3 encompasses part of the eastside of Des Moines, Altoona, Pleasant Hill, Mitchellville, Runnells, Bondurant, Elkart and Polk City (as well as unincorporated east Polk County).  Democrats have controlled the Polk County Board of Supervisors since 1948 and it is time for a change.  This race is key as a win by Dave Funk would swing control of the board back to Republicans and put a champion for fiscal responsibility, smaller government and lower taxes in county government leadership.

Because of this Don Lamberti of Casey’s General Stores hosted a fundraiser in his home for Funk.  In the video below, Jeff Lamberti (former congressional candidate and Co-President of the Iowa Senate), former Governor Terry Branstad and Funk speak to constituents in attendance.
