david-shedlock2I just wanted to give you another update on David Shedlock.  He has a Caring Bridge site that I encourage you to visit and leave notes at.  Here is the most recent update:

“Please pray that The Lord will see fit to strengthen David in therapy today and change the heart of this therapist.”

That was the prayer request from yesterday. Within the hour, news came that David’s blood pressure dropped within the first minute of therapy. He had to return to his room. How disheartening. But God’s timing is not our timing, and His ways are incomprehensible. Today, He has seen fit to answer our prayers in a marvelous way! David made it through almost 2 hours of therapy this morning! The doctor that mentioned giving him the boot yesterday stopped by and said that David can have as long as he needs.

“The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.” Proverbs 21:1. Praise Him for such a gracious and merciful outpouring of loving kindness.

Please pray for therapy to progress and complications to be held at bay.

Due to David’s recent stroke and the care that has been required he and his wife Judy have been unable to work.  Their living expenses and medical expenses have become a real challenge.  His church, Trinity Presbyterian Reformed Church, has set up a fund to help with that.

If you can help out please make out a check for whatever amount God is calling you to give to Trinity Presbyterian Church.  You can then mail the check to c/o Brian Myers (also another contributor here who is an elder at David’s church) at the address below:

Myers & Associates, LLC
2107 320th St.
Madrid, IA 50156

If you would rather give online the church has set up a PayPal account for this purpose.  Go to PayPal and then direct the funds to 1650metricalpsalms@gmail.com.

Thank you for any help that you can give.
