Kirsten Powers has to be one of my favorite Democrats. For sure we’d have many, many disagreements on policy, but is fair-minded in her critique of Republicans and incredibly civil. She was one of the few Democrat pundits who condemned the personal attacks on Governor Sarah Palin and her family. She also calls the Obama administration on their whining about Fox News (and she voted for him).
I’m sure that she’ll be labeled a faux Democrat, a sell out, or, if you are President Jimmy Carter, a racist.

Obama did make one trip to Fox (O’Reilly) on the campaign trail.. IMO he made a mistake not going on their Sunday AM show. Of course there were Republican national candidates last year that didn’t do O’Reilly.. not mentioning any names

@Kansas Bob, I think we both can agree that McCain ran a horrible, horrible campaign. Both McCain and Palin should have done O’Reilly. I thought O’Reilly was extremely fair in his interview with President Obama.
@Shane Vander Hart – Great points Shane! I loved O’Reilly’s interviews with both Hillary and Obama.. tough but fair.. and they both were very prepared and held their own. Wonder why the GOP ticket chose not to do his show?

@Kansas Bob, They were getting bad advice from campaign staff (Steve Schmidt). For instance… with Sarah Palin, they should have done friendlier venues first and then Katie Couric or Charlie Gibson. It was crazy the way they handled her press coverage.
