Rod Roberts
I had coffee at Smokey Row on Wednesday with Iowa Republican Gubernatorial candidate, State Representative Rod Roberts.   I didn’t have planned questions, but in the course of our conversation we discussed private sector job creation, his recent statements regarding the corporate and personal income tax, the highlights and lowlights of the Iowa Legislative Session, the Iowa Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage, Vander Plaats’ executive order idea, and what he’s hearing on the primary trail.  Also at the end discussed the accusation by some that he’s running to be Terry Branstad’s running mate.

I hope you enjoy, there is some background noise, but I don’t think it’s a huge problem.  Anyway, how could I have a Caffeinated Thoughts interview outside of a coffee shop?  That would be just wrong ;).  Those of you familiar with my voice, yes I do have some cold/allergy thing going on; my apologies if the audio captured my coughing up a lung.
