(Des Moines, IA) Federal and state candidates addressed the Polk County GOP Central Committee last night.  Polk County Republicans boasts the largest central committee among Republican county parties in Iowa and brought out three of the five U.S. Senate candidates, and four of the six candidates running in the Republican primary in Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District.  Each candidate was given three minutes to speak and all kept close to that within 15 seconds.

Bruce Braley’s video was a major topic mentioned by the U.S. Senate candidates.  State Senator Joni Ernst (R-Red Oak) brought up her new ad in the U.S. Senate race.  Congressional candidate Joe Grandanette took aim at candidates who got into the Iowa 3rd Congressional District race after Congressman Tom Latham (R-Iowa) announced his retirement calling them opportunists.  Three state legislative candidates also addressed the group as well.  You can watch video of their speeches below.
