This week Shane Vander Hart on Caffeinated Thoughts Radio hosted Pastor Phil Winfield who is the senior pastor of Grace Church in Des Moines. Pastor Winfield discussed Grace Church’s Des Moines Bible Initiative which is an idea born out of a ministry to indigenous peoples who lived in the Andes Mountains. They want to personally give a Bible to anyone in Des Moines who would like one.

Shane then discussed the drama surrounding President Donald Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey and the President’s uncanny knack of sabotaging White House communications efforts. Our producer Ron Carlson and Shane discussed Congressman Rod Blum’s decision to walk out of an interview with KCRG TV 9 before a town hall in Dubuque, IA. Also, they discussed Attorney General Jeff Sessions decision to order U.S. attorneys to charge defendants with the most serious, provable crimes carrying the most severe penalties that include drug offenses that carry mandatory sentencing minimums.
