Genevieve Wood, a senior advisor and spokesperson for the Heritage Foundation, outlined three primary differences between conservatives and progressives in a short video released by the Heritage Foundation in October.

They are:

  1. Conservatives and progressives have different views about individuals and communities.
  2. Conservatives and progressives have different views about diversity and choice.
  3. Conservatives and progressives have a different view of “We The People.”

Watch:

Obviously, had a progressive group made this video it would have portrayed progressivism in a positive light while casting conservatism in a negative light.

Even so, there is no denying that conservatives and progressives approach these topics from radically different points of view. This video provides a basic primer of the differences from a conservative perspective.

It also illustrates why it has become much, much harder to find common ground.
