Governor Terry Branstad (R-IA) was heckled by unidentified pro-abortion activists during his remarks at “The Roe v. Wade Effect” luncheon hosted by Iowa Right to Life after the Midwest March for Life.

As he was explaining the right to life was the primary right we have as American citizens, a man stood up and said “Refusing Medicaid expansion is not prolife.  $800 million dollars a year could go to healthcare.  This will cause deaths and this blood is on your hands.”

The man was quickly escorted outside, and was later identified by Iowa Right to Life as a Planned Parenthood supporter along with another woman also stood up and said, “I had an abortion too!  Yay!”

Governor Branstad, not visibly shaken, went on to state, “Unfortunately let me say that sometimes we have to deal with the art of the possible.”
