Mark Lofgren Raises $58,182 for Iowa 2nd Congressional District Race

For the quarter, Lofgren brought in a total of $57,182.00 with 193 contributions.

“We have built a solid base to launch this campaign and I am humbled by the support we have received to date,” Lofgren stated. “As an avid runner, I recognize this is not a sprint, but a marathon. We’re going to build upon our success and continue the momentum right up until Election Day.”

In addition to fundraising, Lofgren has spent hundreds of hours taking his message right to voters’ doorsteps. Mark has shared these four simple guidelines he followed in the Iowa House and will continue to follow if fortunate to serve in Congress:

• Spend less than what you bring in.
• Never use one-time money to fund on-going needs or programs.
• Don’t balance the budget by intentionally under-funding standing obligations.
• Return surplus tax dollars back to the taxpayers to whom they belong.

“Our message is resonating with voters across the district and we’re committed to working hard every day to see Congressman Loebsack at the finish line next November,” Lofgren concluded.

Lofgren is a lifelong resident of Muscatine, Iowa. He is currently serving his 2nd term in the Iowa House where he serves as Chair of the International Relations Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Appropriations Committee. Lofgren is a University of Iowa graduate and currently owns a small business, Lofgren Investments, in Muscatine. He and his wife Paula have four children.
