DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) reports 97 additional positive cases for a total of 1,145 positive cases in 79 counties. A further 1,151 negative tests were processed for a total of 12,821 negative tests to date, which includes testing reported by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs.
IDPH also reports an additional one death for a total of 27 COVID-19 related deaths in Iowa, the latest death was an elderly adult (81+) from Linn County.
There are currently 122 Iowans hospitalized, 431 have recovered, and 646 were never hospitalized.
According to IDPH, the locations and age ranges of the 97 individuals include:
- Allamakee County, one adult (18-40 years), one older adult (61-80 years)
- Benton County, one child (0-17 years)
- Black Hawk County, one adult (18-40 years), three middle-age adults (41-60 years)
- Cedar County, three adults (18-40 years), one older adult (61-80 years)
- Clinton County, one adult (18-40 years), one middle-age adult (41-60 years)
- Crawford County, 1 adult (18-40 years)
- Harrison County, 1 adult (18-40 years)
- Henry County, 2 adults (18-40 years)
- Johnson County, ten adults (18-40 years), one middle-age adult (41-60 years), two older adults (61-80 years)
- Linn County, one child (0-17 years), four adults (18-40 years), one middle-age adult (41-60 years), three older adults (61-80 years), two elderly adults (81+)
- Louisa County, four adults (18-40 years), five middle-age adults (41-60 years), one older adult (61-80 years)
- Marshall County, 1 adult (18-40 years)
- Muscatine County, four adults (18-40 years), five middle-age adults (41-60 years), one older adult (61-80 years)
- Polk County, two adults (18-40 years), four middle-age adults (41-60 years), one older adult (61-80 years)
- Pottawattamie County, one middle-age adult (41-60 years), one older adult (61-80 years)
- Scott County, four adults (18-40 years), seven middle-age adults (41-60 years), one older adult (61-80 years)
